Happy World Rat Day from our mischief ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ

Today, 4th April, is officially World Rat Day, a day which since 2002 has celebrated rats as pets, and as the intelligent, affectionate and amazing animals those of us who have had the honour of having them in our lives know them to be.

Possibly one of the most underrated and misunderstood animals, rats have long suffered from a bad reputation despite their bright characters, their cleanliness, and even their incredible usefulness to humans (over the last years Giant African Pouch rats have become more and more instrumental to the discovery of landmines, as well as identifying TB and other illnesses.

As animals and as pets, rats have so much to give, and our four brighten up every day in our house.

Tonight, Ty, Reuben, Perry and Marley have enjoyed a few extra treats, and seem happy to see their very own appreciation day.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

A very Happy World Rat Day from all of us. X
